The Flextran® Mold Release process is a mold release heat-transfer
system that applies a very soft colorful design on a variety of
substrates including but not limited to denim, fleece, cottons
& blends, knits, polyester, vinyl, neoprene, Lycra and some
nylon blends. It can also be successfully applied to finished
headgear and knit beanies. It will even adhere over seams
such as found on six panel caps.
An integral part of the Flextran® System is the 3-D mold
created from your artwork. Patterns, screens, even small
verbiage can be etched into the mold cavity for special effects.
The mold is loaded with Flextran® base, cured and then heat
transferred to your substrate. Graphics may be forwarded
electronically or via surface mail. Flextran will be happy
to assist you and your graphics department in the development
of properly formatted artwork for the best Flextran result.
The Flextran® base liquid is clear and can be colored with
a pigment or color booster to match any PMS color. The clear
base can be enhanced with glitter, pearl, scent, metallic powders,
glow-in-the-dark pigment as well as many other additives; the
finish may be marbleized, textured and combined for distinctive
results. You can also apply foil or heat transfers to the image
for added pizzazz.
